Health Educator is needed to perform the following duties: 

 

·         Provides Medication Therapy Management (MTM) for patients according to their eligibility, comprehensive medication review (CMR), physician consultation, patient education, patient compliance consultation, and Targeted Intervention Program (TIP).

·         Create and implement safety protocol for the safe health of the employee and patients to fight against emergency condition like COVID-19, SARS, Swine Flu etc. Educate and provide training about safety measures to prevent its spread.

·         Establish relationships with the local community doctors and community through various outreach programs.

·         Educate and provide healthy diet chart and nutritional supplements like vitamins for the various disease patient according to their health like diabetes and hypertension, old age, insomnia patients.

·         Encourage patients and community people for immunization to improve community health.

·         Educate and train staff on new methods of approach for chronic disease management.

·         Educate and provide healthy diet chart and nutritional supplements like vitamins for the various disease patient according to their health like diabetes and hypertension, old age, insomnia patients.

·         Maintain HIPPA compliance in accordance with regulation.

·         Work with facility personnel to establish care strategies for chronic diseases those are prevalent like, HIV/AIDS, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, respiratory diseases etc.

·         Provide health and wellness education. Plan and implement programs and treatments specifically designed to address the patient's needs.

·         Monitors, evaluates and records staff training activities. Ensure and provide educational assistance to maintain annual staff training programs of HIPPA training, Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) training, Code of Conduct, Business ethics.

·         Review Medicare patient’s eligibility for medications and ordering of medications as per insurance requirements.

·         Assist the president in developing, implementing and monitoring policies and procedures that reflect quality, and safe delivery of health care services and provide exceptional customer and guest relations.

·         Provides support for the Pharmacist by preparing drug evaluations of the compound drug formulation and assisting in formulary maintenance.

·         Consult with patient about cost-saving program like coupon or generic drug approach

·         Coordinate with staff to ensure department compliance with policies, procedures, by laws, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines; medications as per insurance requirements.

·         Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with agencies and organizations on health care and Prepare and maintain reports concerning patient’s medical history and treatments progress under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.

 

·         Train staff on how to better interact with patients; Direct patients to outside resources such as support groups, home health agencies, or social services.

 

Bachelor's Degree is required in  Public Health or Health Education or Health Promotion.

Regulatory & Compliance Analyst is needed to perform the following duties:

  • Maintaining routine Regulatory Compliance tasks for Grove Apothecary to improve performance of business and comply with regulatory bodies

  • Monitoring micro as well as macro policies and daily tasks compliance with federal and state requirements, which includes FWA, CMS, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, PMP of OIG, MTM and Mirixa.

  • Documenting yearly CMS policies and implementing new guidelines including for DME products

  • Monitor and assist relevant staff for license renewals and for Continuous Education courses.

  • Co-ordinate with pharmacy staff for growth of business at the same time complying with regulations

  • Documentation and tracking of adverse events, complaints, inspections and significant matters.

  • Using MTM and Mirixa platforms help bridging health care providers performance with patient health determination

  • Routine practice of communicating to patients and health care providers (nurses, MDs and pharmacist) and documenting observations in Therapy Management.

  • Responsible to ensure ongoing process aligns with current statutory provisions

  • Responsible for answering on site and off site audits by providing documents and prescriptions requested.

  • Justifying and providing additional support documents in case of any discrepancies found during audits.

  • Verifying PMP website before dispensing each controlled prescription, submitting daily transmitted claim through Best Rx software for the purpose of DEA compliance

  • Work on all documents required for OTC network, credit card and prescription coupons.

  • Constant periodic monitoring of employee criminal background, HIPAA and FWA certifications, e-signature logs of medications dispensed through electronic platforms, copies of prescriptions required by auditors and relevant documents.

  • Staying updated with rulemaking through online interactions and newsletters by state and federal organizations

  • Enrolling with Medicare, Medicaid, DEA, HIPAA and FWA newsletters in order to get constant updates about changes and following up existing guidelines.

  • Support pharmacy staff by reviewing recalled drugs and processing excessive stock return and document controlled inventory based on compliance requirements. In addition, maintain records of drug inventory vs drugs dispensed, recalls etc for audit purposes.

*Bachelor's Degree is required in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Drug Regulatory Affairs.*
